Shivani Aghera

Shivani grew up in Maryland and is a native of Howard County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University in May of 2010 and her juris doctorate, with a concentration in family law, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in May 2014. Before attending law school, Shivani worked for Lockheed Martin in Washington D.C. While in law school, Shivani was involved in the Student Bar Association and was a Rule 16 Student Attorney who represented individuals in the Bronfein Family Law Clinic. During law school, Shivani worked for various law firms which allowed her to be exposed to numerous criminal and family related matters.

After graduating from law school, Shivani served as the first Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Mary M. Kramer of the Circuit Court for Howard County. Shivani served for eighteen months as Judge Kramer’s Law Clerk and was exposed to extremely contested family law cases including divorce, custody, child support, and property disputes, as well as criminal and civil matters. Shivani joined Abramson & Rand in August 2016.
